Minimalists
- Zen Habits — Leo Babauta has written several books including his latest, Focus. What I like best about his "brand" of minimalism is that he encourages everyone to define what the word means for themselves.
- Be More With Less — I am relatively new to Courtney Carver's blog, but already I've found a lot of great ideas and suggestions on her blog, and she has this totally cool Project 333, which I haven't yet done myself but love, love, love the idea.
- Rowdy Kittens — Author of Smalltopia and Simply Car-Free, Tammy Strobel writes on how to have a simple, peaceful life, and is keeping us updated on the tiny house that she's building.
- The Art of Non-Conformity — Author of the book The Art of Non-Conformity and the Unconventional Guides, Chris Guillebeau travels around the world having adventures — cool!
- The Extraordinary Life - Jakob Sokol of Sensophony.com has created the goal of inspiring 8,000,000 people — how can you not love this guy?
- PhilosophersNotes — Brian Johnson is a genius philosopher. PhilosophersNotes are six-page PDFs outlining the main points to 100 of the most insightful books ever written — and Brian has a new pricing plan for them, so check it out. On top of that, A Philosopher's Notes, the book, just came out and Brian has just released the first 25 of PhilosophersNotes, Vol. II. This guy is a must-read!
- The Happiness Project — Gretchen Rubin conducted her happiness project and wrote a book about it by the same name, and now encourages others to start their own. On her website, she also has the Happiness Project Toolbox, where members can design their happiness projects with a variety of tools — cool stuff!
- The Positivity Blog — Aww, the first blog I ever subscribed to! And the name pretty much speaks for itself: Henrik sets forth clear and defined steps on how to be happy, relaxed and successful.
- MinimalMac — Patrick Rhone, who I recently learned is also in the Twin Cities, gives advice on Macs, computer software and minimalism — and often all three at one time. If you're a Mac freak like me, you'll love him.
- LifeHacker — This site will tell you how to do everything from customizing your computer software to how not to be an asshole. Don't know how I ever lived without it!
